Goal# 11 – Read one book a month

This book was sent and recommended to me by a fellow Sticky. It was a great book and I could not put it down!!!

She’s finally seeing the fruits of her labors.
Chef Ellie “Lemon” Manelli’s hip East Village bistro is suddenly all the rage; Lemon and her staff of wildly talented friends plucked from New York City’s finest eateries can barely keep pace. Good thing she has her loyal, doting, bankrolling Georgia peach of a boyfriend, Eddie, to lean on — not to mention a gaggle of loving relations over the river in Brooklyn. In fact, Lemon’s life is turning out exactly as she planned — except for the fact that she’s late. As in late. Nobody said anything about, you know, labor.
Having a baby right now would jeopardize everything Lemon has worked so hard to accomplish, so the pregnancy test results leave her feeling a little sour. Eddie, bless his heart, wants to just go ahead and get married, but Lemon’s not sure the timing’s right. She’s about to learn a lesson or two about love and loss, though. And in the end she’ll discover that there’s a reason things work out the way they do — and that when life gives you lemons, you can make lemonade, or lemon tarts, or lemon meringue pie. Or, you can just be a plain ole Lemon, if that’s what you were meant to be.

Goal# 84 – Visit Blue Bell

After talking about it for 2 years, we finally made it to the Blue Bell Creamiery in Brenham, TX. Rob already had Friday off, so I requested it off as well and we made a day trip out of it. We arrived there with 5 minutes to spare and the tour started at 11:00 AM. Honestly, I was not all that impressed with the tour. It seemed short and we didn’t feel like we learned much about how the ice-cream is made. However, the factory it self was pretty neat. It had that old factory feeling (just like you see in the movies). The best part of the tour was the free ice-cream at the end of it. It was YUMMY!!!
After touring we headed to downtown Brenham (whole 1 mile of it) and came across a place called Must Be Heaven, a old cafe with yummy sandwiches and desserts.

Happy Anniversary to us!!!

Well January 19th came and went and celebrated our 2nd year as a married couple. We had a lovely and relaxing day. We started the day with a casual breakfast at Juarez Bakery in Round Rock. Then we moved over to the nail salon and we both had a relaxing Manicure and Pedicure. Now it was time to come home and relax before going out to dinner. We had reservations to go to Clay Pit for a nice romantic dinner, but I think we were both pretty tired from the night before (we went to Alamo to see There will be Blood) and did not get home till late. So SRR asked how I would like to skip dinner and go pottery painting (those who know me could imagine the grin on my face)… I was all in! The plans were changed and we had a early dinner at Masala Wok, then headed to Mad Potter for painting. I had a lot of fun and I think even SRR enjoyed him self (I will make sure to post a picture of our creations). We got done around 8:30 and headed to get Amy’s Ice Cream. After driving around for a while and figuring out that the ATM at Amy’s was broken, we made a dash to Whole Foods for some cash…. and finally made it to Amy’s around 9:15 for some yummy Mexican Vanilla Ice Cream with Strawberries… OMG it was soooo YUMMY… A picture in the famous Amy’s photo booth and we called it a night…. I look forward to spending the rest of my life with his amazing man!!!
Happy Anniversay Honey!!!

Goal #79 – Renew Registration and Inspection on time

I think this might be the first time ever (since I have owned a car) that I actually got my registration done before it expired. Given, I did wait until Jan 31st to get it done, it was still January. So once April comes and I successfully get my Inspection done on time, I will mark goal # 79 as complete.

Wake up call #2!!!!

I remember the day I wrote about Wake up call!!! Well welcome back to HELL… I wake up in a very HAPPY mood (can’t say that I went to bed in a good mood), but something happened overnight that made me wake up with a smile on my face and lots of happiness. I decide to go to work – instead of staying home in my PJ’s and with Ollie/Sugar… It’s Friday right, the day will be over before you know it and surely people can’t piss me off (remember I woke up in a good mood). As the wrong buzzer goes off as soon as I swing the front door to the building open… I realize that the day is about to go to SHIT. I get yelled at for something that is not my job and somehow I am able to just brush it off (so I think), as I walk back to my desk I feel my blood boiling and use my count to 10 method and it works. I sit at my desk and put my headphone’s on (this has kept me sane for a long time) when people decide that they need to ask me stupid a$$ questions… Is **** going to be in the office today? Hmmm how the F*** am I supposed to know. Last time I checked he is a grown man and I am not his gate keeper. Maybe he was the smart one and will just stay home today. I can’t seem the print, do you know whats wrong? Let me think… last time I checked we actually pay someone to answer these stupid questions and I am NOT it. It is called Tech… and some how after I said I DO NOT KNOW, they were magically able to figure out to go to them. Amazing I tell you!!!
Anyway…I need to try to brush it off and get in a better mood… cause I hate feeling this way!!!

Goal#3 – Buy a Coach Purse

Ok! I am going to need to make a little tweek on this goal. I have realized that (after browsing through Macy’s yesterday) that I could never spend over $100 on a purse (it’s just not me)… but I did go and get a Dooney Clutch yesterday and I LOVE it. Soooo I will be scratching Goal#3 off the list.

2008 will be the year…

of becoming a more positive person. This is one of my goals or new year resolutions as some would call it. I have learned that being negative is much easier then making an effort to be positive. Just like ANGER usually seems to be the first thing majority of people reach out to. So, here are some steps I will be taking towards accomplishing my goal;

• Take the time to appreciate the things in your life and feel truly thankful for everything.
• Reach out and help other people.
• Smile!
• Count to ten!!!

In the past year I have met some amazing people and they have always been positive even through some of my worst days and I have them to thank for helping me get through 2007. So Sticky Ladies… this is for you.
