Happy Birthday Boo Boos!!!

June 27th was Phillip’s (aka Boo Boos) Birthday and to celebrate we went to Malagas’s Tapas Bar on 4th street. It was a pretty cool experience. We ordered what seemed like 100 different plates and had some yummy drinks. After about 2 hours of sweating our tails off we decided to head out to Ginger Man Pub for a sample of beer’s and darts. I tried out the black velvet (Pear Ale and Guinness) and some other things I don’t remember. After about 3 hours of tasting different beer’s and dominating at dart’s (yeah right) we headed to OilCan Harry’s for more drinks and some crazy dancing.

After about 4 shots and and an un-countable amounts of drinks things like this happen and are considered some what normal. After dancing, drinking, meeting british girls, dissing the british girls, dancing some more, hugging and rubbing on some strangers we headed out to Rain. I don’t think Phillip and I remember much after that… but I do remember stumbilling in to the car and stopping at Taco Cabana (no I was not driving). After eating some much needed food, Rob and I dropped off the birthday boy and headed home. I think it was 4:30 AM when my head hit the pillow.
I think everyone had a BLAST!!! cause I know Phillip and I did.

Here are some more crazy and not so crazy photos for your enjoyment!!!

Wall – E

Rob and I took a nice long nap today and figured we would probably be up for a while. So we decided to go see the 9:40PM showing of Wall-E (avoiding the rush of crying/screaming kids).
The movie was very cute/good/sweet. It sent an awesome message without a lot of dialogue and reached out to adults as much as it did to kids. I would highly recommend it to everyone.

We still have a few more steps to complete before we officially close on July 22nd, but it was still very exciting to see the sign.

The Love Guru…

Well after a seriously crabby day SRR and I decided to go see the Love Guru and I must say it was actually pretty funny. I mean of course it was corny, but Justin Timberlake was FUNNY and for all that matters, it managed to put a smile on my face and made me forget about all that is going on in our lives right now. Now, back to reality!

Goal # 83 – Try 5 new restaurants (5/5)

On our 2.5 hour lunch break today, Phillip and I went shopping at surlatable so he could get some early Christmas shopping done. Well half way through our shopping SRR text me and asked what was for lunch, I called him to let him know that we were right across the street from him and that we would be there in 10 minutes (hey, had to check out and do one last sweep of the store) and we could go to lunch. Well, as we were sitting there pondering what to eat, SRR suggested Taco Deli  and boy were we glad he did. It was YUMMY. Phillip and I both had the the blue plate special with the Mojo Fish Taco and a Cowboy Taco and they were both delicious in their own way. I think SRR had a Cowboy Taco and a Mole Taco and said they were both delicious as well. So this marks my 5th new restaurant and I get to scratch it off my list… Woohoo!!!

Miss Less Cranky Pants…

I fell a little better today, much less moody. I guess everything that is going on right now is starting to take its toll on me. But thank goodness today was Stacie day. She asked me how I am doing and I think I took 3 breaths in 30 minutes getting everything out. We just have so much going on right now it is super overwhelming. SRR and I are both emotionally and physically drained. We know that things will work out, but you still can’t your self from thinking about the what ifs? But the good thing is that I feel a little better today and have managed to not snap at anyone. In my little world that is a huge accomplishment.

Miss Cranky Pants…

Yes, that is how I have felt for the past few days. I have been having some major PMS symptoms and it majorly sucks balls. I guess I should be prepared to expect AF next Wednesday, which sucks balls even more. But whatcya gonna do right?

I asked my friend LC if she would be able to grab a drink this week. I really feel like I need to just chill and be with someone that can 100% understand what I am going through. I really hope she can grab a drink, because I think she needs it as well.

Well I need to try to take a chill pill and relax… I also need to remember that I DO NOT have control over my body, I DO NOT have control over my body!!!

Moving up…and about…

We have been lucky enough to have received two offers since we posted the house on the market (06/11). The offer offer was OK, but I just really didn’t want to do business with the potential buyer. I mean I know that everyone tries to one up you when you are selling, but I felt like this guy was going above and beyond the norm.

Ok Ok I am getting ahead of my self.
So the guy made the offer and we were super excited/shocked. Tim (our realtor) told SRR that they will put together a NET sheet of everything that will need to be paid. Well lets just say that shit hit the fan when we saw the list. Some how there were 3K in charges (on top of the closing costs) that we were not made aware of and we fired back saying NO. Tim suggested that we counter offer for an additional 2K to cover some of the costs. Well even with the 2K, there was NO WAY… So April (the closing lady) leave’s me a voicemail and tells me that she made a mistake and most of the fee’s are included in the closing cost and that she would be sending us a NET sheet. Well the numbers did dramatically drop, but we were still not happy with paying all closing costs and settling at the asking price. So we asked tim to counter offer (knowing that there was a 98% that they would not accept). Well the weekend went by and on Monday we saw that we received a second offer. After talking to Tim we were notified that the second potential buyers were offering (essentially) 10K less then our asking price… all I could do was laugh! He said he would go back to them and tell them that we have a current offer on the table at a much better price and that they would need to match + and they did! Tim called us yesterday afternoon and told us about the deal and we accepted. They are giving us what we are asking, plus 2K towards closing costs (oh and they want our bookshelf – don’t get me started on that)… So we are officially in the 10 day grace period and shall see how things roll.
Wish us luck…
